AN ACT concerning local government. (SB4206, IL)

Allows a county or municipality to establish standards for data center construction by ordinance. Provides that the standards may include size, height, and design of structures and number of facilities, as well as water use / pollution and noise restrictions. Authorizes counties or municipalities to regulate siting of data centers in unincorporated areas outside of the zoning jurisdiction of a municipality and the 1.5-mile radius surrounding it. Public hearing required.
