Summary:
Requires data centers to get permit from water and wastewater operator board of certification after submitting information including: power capacity, water usage and sources, impact on water resources, drought contingency plans, efficiency measures, and proof of no adverse impact on public or residential water. Board to also consider wastewater impacts, hold public hearings, and coordinate with the TVA. Board to biennially evaluate and may require use of water recirculation systems. Water-related data center-caused costs must not be borne by others. Utilities to report data center water usage to board; compiled data to be published publicly. Data centers must notify board prior to ceasing operations.
