An Act relative to energy affordability, clean power and economic competitiveness (H.5175, MA)

Requires new or expanded data centers to use 80% renewable energy; fossil fuel backup generators not permitted unless they prove infeasibility of battery storage. Electric utilities to create data center tariffs that ensure cost covering and incentivize energy efficiency, including waste heat capture. Permits only to be issued when all requirements fulfilled.
