AN ACT relating to data centers. (HB 593, KY)

Requires municipal electric utilities to create data center tariffs. Data centers to pay fee for utility to study how to serve data center needs without impacting other customers. Contracts must ensure that rates and service to other customers is not impacted; that all costs are covered by data center with infrastructure upgrade costs prepaid; and that arrangements are in place for data centers to rely on other power when the utility cannot provide full load to all customers. Similar cost-covering requirements with respect to water usage, wastewater, and natural gas.
