A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning utilities. (SB 79, IN)

Requires utility regulatory commission to establish working group to estimate future electricity demands from data centers and report findings and recommendations. Data centers to report electricity usage quarterly; summary to be made public. Prior to permit for construction of a data center, disclosure of projected power and water usage, and assessment of impacts including on power and water, grid, carbon emissions, and agricultural, historic, and cultural resources required.
